In his latest book, Balázs Orbán, the political director of the Hungarian Prime Minister, delves into the shifting dynamics of the present world order. He scrutinizes the risks associated with recent trends toward decoupling and bloc formation, and, as a solution, proposes a strategic masterstroke – the "Hussar Cut" for Hungary: the Hungarian strategy of connectivity. With this strategy Hungary aspires to be a key player in its region and, through extensive connections, to mitigate the effects of today’s geopolitical confrontations. For readers seeking a profound understanding of Hungarian politics alongside situational assessments and the reasoning behind pivotal decisions, Balázs Orbán's book is a must-read.

Interesting to come across terms like decoupling in global context of political influence. I however m unable to comprehend connectivity alongside retaining sovereignty per se and economic independence in this complicated world of interdependence. Anyway thanks for enlightening me on the topics. Regards. Asar ahmadzay

Interesting discussion... I guess Shri Orban doesn't understand that xtianity is a religion where as we are a Dharmic people. The former is predatory and this is a problem for us.

Some of our Indian queries need to be more thought provoking with an objectives of how to India can collaborate through such dialogues
ORF Indian participants should follow holistic approach
In crude ways don't ask very basic bit naive questions for the hack of it
My observation is on 2 to 3 queries

This must be a joke, Hungary is one of the poorest countries in the EU, and the PM Orban has been in power for like 10 years now, so plenty of time to change that.
Moreover, the whole thing he proposes is like, so he wants to be inside of the EU, take advantage of the common market and take subsidies 💰. But at the same time he wants to have "independence", what is he going to do when the EU decouples from China? He will say "we are not gonna do that because we are independent, but EU keep giving us money and acces to the common market"? 🤦‍♂️
And also most of the history he was talking about is pute fantasy. Modern day hungarians being related to the Japanese? Really? 😂😂😂
Or how could the medieval kingdom of hungary somehow be a nation-state when at that time there were no nation states and it was inhabited by different ethnic groups? Honestly, the kingdom of France would resemble a nation state more than that at that time 🤦‍♂️
