the thing about this game that will excel at compared to that of WoW is the environments appearance. If you have an up to date graphics card and play it at high settings, you will be blown away by it. At the moment WoW will still be the best MMO for the time being, but Rift is definitely gonna give it a run for its money as it fixes a lot of problems other MMOs have not quite fixed and has some great challenge. Also to mention how the world itself is quite active to keep it entertaining.

Not sure why everyone's going about GW2. I was excited about it at first but I think this game will be a lot, LOT better! It's a lot more different and the whole game just looks more immersive. Not to say GW2 won't be good, I just reckon this has got more original ideas.

funny how people never take into account how difficult it is to make a game that DOESNT already look like something else right now with so many games already out, get over your view of what it looks simmilar too and instead try to see how it is unique

Leute ihr müsst unbedingt mal das kommende Rift testen, hab glücklicherweise den beta zugang und muss sagen, dass das Spiel eines der besten Spiele ist, die ich je gespielt habe bis jetzt. Zwar weiß man nicht viel über den Highend Content, aber Rift ist auf jeden Fall (meiner Meinung nach) ein starker Konkurrent gegenüber WoW, mir wurde cata zu lw. Man bekommt später wieder alles in den arsch geschoben, ich weiß wovon ich rede, hab schon alle im nhc clear und 4 im hm. RIFT IST GENIAL!

@nonpersonsdotcom I have been reading the statements from ArenaNet, actually. There's no such thing as an original MMO, GW2 looks a little like WoW too! Almost all MMOs do if they're fantasy. I don't think Rift is a prettier looking WoW at all. I don't think GW2 is 'different' either, just extremely hyped up.

Sorry bro, my gtx 295 is half the size of a laptop, so nice try but equally nice fail.

After updating my drivers i'm at a stabl 60fps now, as they added a sli profile to the newest set of drivers.

The problem with the graphics is they are limited by the gamebryo engine.. it's a pretty game and after playing it more, I am enjoying it.

@MoistGeorge I'm in the beta... it isn't as good as the videos make it seem trust me.
You won't get that level of graphics in your game that's shown in the video - this is all pre-rendered on extremely high end hardware. If you want a direct graphics/engine comparison, it's alot like Warhammer Online.

I'd hold out for Tera Online tbh.

Eeh, why would the game been named as Rift if the rifts isnt main focus? in Aion the pve carebears won, tho the rifts were there from beginning. And all knows ncfail killed low lvl pvp cos no one wanna pvp fairly in abyss.
Im really up for this game, gathering with legion and starting to play this one.
