Sweetwater:

In this video I’m gonna show you all the must know chord positions to play 9th, 11th and 13th chords in R&B guitar. The 9, 11 and 13 are just the 2, 4 and 6 degree played as an extension above the 7th. They’re really cool chords but they can often generate some confusion. Chord diagrams on screen with voicing for all the chord positions. Tabs and music notation available on my Patreon.

This one video unlocked so much for me. I just spent about 2 and a half hours pausing, rewinding and replaying the different sections over and over...found myself grinning like a madman and finally I'm able to play the progressions I hear in my head! Honestly man, your presentation style and video editing make these concepts so accessible. I've bought your Udemy course now and I'll be studying with you for a while. Many thanks brother 🙌🏾

Also known as Gospel & Jazz, I play piano and those are the tones/ textures I hear and feel most. Glad to see someone is teaching real music and not just cpu. And if we/u do play the 5th we start playing 1/2- whole diminished chords which are tasty the whole " tension & release" thing. Love your channel

What about b9 chords or #9 chords, it’s hard for me to find the smoothest way to play them
