Classic Shots: 06173 and 05114 (Oct. 1, 2014)

My old friend, Miss 05114, is being scrapped as I upload this, so in it's memory here is the one video I have of it. From the night of October 1, 2014, shortly before 10pm... first we have 06173 going by, working a late evening run on route 7. After that, we see 05114 leaving the CBD Terminal heading back to Central Division after working over 16 hours on route S. A tribute video with plenty of still images plus an engine recording are pending for future uploads, so watch this space!

As of this upload, only 11 1st gen NABIs remain in service, with 05108 being retired just yesterday. The 25th anniversary of the type's first entry into service (demo 9801 on route 11 in experimental service) is only 8 days away, and the venerable model has earned it's place among Miami's transit legends.
