It's true, Groo the Wanderer has changed in the past (almost) 40 years! His personality has changed a bit, but the way Sergio Aragonés draws Groo has changed a LOT!

I'm going through drawings of Groo starting in the early 1980s until the present day charting how much and in what ways Groo has changed.

Comic Book artist Mark Evanier, Stan Sakai (who makes Usagi Yojimbo comics) and Tom Luth who is the colorist of the comics. Marvel comics used to publish Groo the Wanderer under the Epic Comics brand for artist owned comics. Before that Pacific Comics and Eclipse Comics published Groo the Wanderer. After Marvel Comics, Groo went to Image Comics for a year and for the longest time, Groo is published by Dark Horse Comics. Rufferto is Groo's Dog, Conan the Barbarian and Tarzan of the Apes have had crossover comics with Groo too.

I seriously don't know why you don't have more subscribers, more likes, more views, more recognition

Your content is professional as heck and you really seem to be passionate about the Wanderer guy

Ha ha! I just read that issue of PC Groo last night, and then I stumble on this video, and this channel, today. I get the feeling I need to go to my lfcs tonight.

I pretty much agree with you about the best style for Groo (and for Rufferto from your video about how his style has changed too). Obviously, there are exceptions but mid-marvel was generally my favorite period for lots of aspects. But I have to say, you are super focused on teeth for both of them. My favorite thing was how (I'm not sure if it was intentional or not) you kept saying "that is a big nose" just like characters constantly say about Arcadio's chin.

PS Please make a video where you give more info about knock-off Turkish Groo. I'd never heard of that before and it looks super intrigueing.

Groo seems to have stayed way more consistent than say Garfield.

There is a rare phamlet that Sergio drew for Mad that was delivered as a greeting type phamlet

His style has changed again, if you look at the latest Groo vs. Tarzan. Groos arms are drawn longer and they aren't so balloony round anymore. Like if the arm is bent, it forms a more clear "L" shape.

I have a 1981 illustration of Groo by Aragones that is unlike any version of Groo that I’ve ever seen, I’d love to send you photo if you might have any information on it.

Where can I get a copy of that 1981 drawing? Was it published in anything later?

Conspiracy theory. Does Sergio still draw the later issues or does he have a apprentice duh duh du
