Who doesn't love a good rainy day? Except when all the rain has condensed into one giant drop that's going to destroy anything in its path! Check out today's insane new video to see what would happen if all rain fell like one giant asteroid, impacting the earth and changing the entire planet in one massive splash.

imagine the photograph that a person would have taken just before the raindrop perfectly hit the ground before the splash

It's amazing to see how much they have taught us from the birth of their channel! May this channel live a long time.

Your math is very off. 260 billion gallons of water is just 1 cubic kilometer, not 300 cubic miles.

It's not the size of 3 Switzerlands, but rather the size of 10 football fields.

It can't flood Australia as it's only enough water to cover the entire country in a layer of water 130 micrometers deep.

I’ve asked this question so many times over the years! Thanks for delivering the information I needed so badly 😂

A lot more terrifying than I thought it would be

This went to a much bigger extreme than what I had wondered about. Instead of combining ALL precipitation into one giant drop, I've wondered what it would be like if individual rain clouds suddenly dumped all the water being held at once once they became too heavy to hold the moisture? Instead of a bunch of individual drops (or even one big one), it would be a mass sheet of water that's about the same size of the cloud, just a sudden splash in its area and done.

I live in the western part of the mitten in Michigan, meaning that we experience dreariness/precipitation for days at a time here due to Lake effect (good ole Lake Michigan is to blame). It always gets old!

Tbh I've always wondered what a typical day for work for your writers look like. Where do they come up with that stuff?

I've always wondered what would happen if all the rain came at once rather than overtime

I wish they would have showed a video of these videos back in school. At least once a week. Remember when they would bring the TV in. Imagine the teacher saying " we're ganna watch the infographic today"

Now remember, this is all the rain from just a single day. Now imagine this happening EVERY day.

I still remember as a kid I've always thought about this. I asked my siblings about this and they just told me that there would be instant flood. Like what this video said as the least worrisome result of this phenomena

Rain falling as a single drop still has to put up with what's called 'Terminal Velocity'

Was definitely not expecting this video, nor has this ever crossed my mind. But somehow I enjoyed it as much or more then the others. Well done 😂
