There is an amazing way to farm infinite nanites really fast in No Man's Sky. With the expeditions update to No Man's Sky there was a weird glitch added. Now when sentinels attack you there is a chance for tons of barrels to fall from the sky. That means you can farm infinite nanites really really fast in No Man's Sky. This is crazy!!

For people having trouble getting this to work consistently, a couple things. One, stay near your hole. You have to get in it and out of view before the walker shows up. Two, on the three star battle, take care of the dogs first and leave a sentinel for last then kill that last sentinel from a few feet inside your hole. The next wave will look at the point of the last sentinel death. They will come to you. This helps not having to poke your head out to get their attention and risk the walker seeing you.

For anyone wondering, YES IT STILL WORKS! Very well might I add! Just a few tips for the beginners out there. Make a deep cave that is sort of wide towards the end, enough room for you to run around. Don’t forget that the next wave of enemies will first investigate their fellow mates last location that you just killed. So always try to lure them back to your cave before you hit stage 4. You have to get the attention of the flying drones and NOT the big sentinel. In order for any of this to work you must get ONLY the drones attention and let them scan you and start hunting you down. Don’t panic, just try and stay alive as long as possible while shooting at then periodically. Make sure that the big sentinel is outside the cave without having seen you. Now while you’re in the cave buy as much time as you can and try and run around in circles. If you’ve done it right, by the time you go outside you could have over 100k in manures above. I did a really good 1-1 1/2 hr farm run on my PS5 and my system nearly crashed because there were soo many barrels up top which netted me about 125k in nanites plus a few million in money. Don’t forget to keep your ship near by to save and keep those nanites. If you die, you lose all of the barrels and have to start from scratch again. If you reload the saved file you will lose all the barrels that haven’t been mined. That’s why it’s really important to NOT die and save as much as possible. If you’re just looking to farm and stop them from attacking you I suggest you kill everyone except 1 flying drone, take him far away from the base and barrels hack site. Kill him, make a cave, wait out the enemies and make your way back without being seen using my caves or tunnels and farm all those barrels and collect all your hard earned nanites!!! Don’t forget to save and finish up the quest in the building by shooting the door in and guess the answer to the question. If you get the wrong answer make sure to reload your auto save! Don’t do this until you’ve collected all the barrels of nanites that your heart desires. Hope this helps someone! New to NMS and I love it so far! This glitch is amazing! You will not be disappointed!!!

When I make my cave I go in and make an "L" to left or right. I also put a deployed navigation marker right over the entrance - easier to see in the dark or a storm. I also put a save beacon at the end of the "L" section to keep from losing everything if I get killed.

Wow. Just wow. I did this for 5 minutes and got 21, 000 nanites. The hardest part is picking everything up. I recommend using the pilgrim and mining beam. This method is AMAZING!!! Thank you for finding and making this video!!!

I was digging a hole in the side of a hill around a year ago to protect myself when I started the supply depot missions. I liked doing it like that because it restricted how the sentinels could attack me to one direction and the amount that could attack at once. I didn't get showered like this though.

Hey Jason, when you guys are loading up to move, take two Advil (ibuprofen) before you start lifting stuff and it will prevent your back from being as sore afterwards. I've moved a lot, and this helps a lot more than you'd think. 👍

This is a bit late to the party, but this works also on worlds with aggressive sentinels. Just either pick a fight with one or start collecting gravitino balls, you'll start at level 3 with the second tactic.

3 words.. Delicious Vegetable Stew... you just need fungal mould.. I can pump out 100 of those in no time and turn them in to Chronos on the Anomaly (1 at a time which is unfortunate but works) and get around 10k nanites without the headache of sentinels

After you leave the cave to gather the barrels, go into the facility and stop the alarm. Then you can gather the nanites at your leisure.
