When he said his job was being an Elvis and has the exact replica of Star Trek I was like this guy is living the dream

This is a man who had a dream and the ambition, and he is living the life he wants because of his hard work and efforts. I applaud him.

I'm not sure what's more amazing: the set, or the fact that Elvis impersonation pays so well! Either way, well done!

Wait, being an Elvis impersonator pays well enough to recreate the Enterprise sets...as a hobby?!
I'm in the wrong line of work.

He deserves a part in the next Star Trek movie. Even if it's just a redshirt who dies.

He's living his dream.

He's also living my dream.

This guy could trademark the word "fan" for himself. I tip my hat, this is impressive.

That was so cool that you just picked up the phone and called Paramount.

Now we know that Elvis really didn't die, he did just 'go home' to outer space.

It would be cool to make everything, like the cafeteria etc. work so that you could hang out there with your friends. Live there!

James Cawley is my hero. He obviously is a Star Trek analyst, from his sets to the original music to his acting. I recommend his videos to all Star Trek fans, very well done indeed.

As a fan of the original series, and someone who organized one of the petitions circulated to keep the original series on the air, this is amazing. Fantastic job and I hope it leads to many more fan films. 🖖

My first and only question was, “Why does he have Elvis style hair?”

Not why he built the set...because, DUH! Of course every Star Trek fan would, if they could!

Dude...you win the Trekkie award for the decade! (Co-winning with the guy who rescued and rebuilt the original Galileo shuttlecraft! )

Been there a couple times. 1st time there James was outside up a ladder painting. We pulled in the parking lot and I said to my wife, "why is Elvis up a ladder in Ticonderoga NY painting a building?" James came down the ladder and while they were closed he was generous to chat with us for more than a few minutes sharing his dream well enough to get us back for a tour in a few weeks. We were lucky to have him as a tour guide. Amazing experience. Go visit.

This is so cool. The anecdote about Nichelle Nichols expressing warm fuzzies about the familiarity of it, is the true seal of perfection to me. Truly well done, sir.
