Announcement of the 2012 Grinnell Prize Winners

Grinnell College is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 Grinnell Prize:

* Cristi Hegranes, founder of Global Press Institute (GPI).
* Jacob Wood and William McNulty, co-founders of Team Rubicon.
* Jane Chen and Linus Liang, co-founders of Embrace and Embrace Innovations.

Three hundred nominees from 45 countries competed for the prize. Each of the three winning entry received $100,000 — half going to the individual(s) and half to an organization designated by the winner(s).

Winners will visit Grinnell College for the Grinnell Prize awards ceremony and symposium the week of Nov. 12 to share their experiences and perspectives through public lectures and meetings with students. Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and president of Ben & Jerry's Foundation, will deliver the keynote address.
