A few Corrections:
1) Alongside PC, Sky FC is on PSP, not Vita. I mix them up all the time (credit to @choops)
2) Zero and Azure are also on Switch (credit to @Der Äsäsn)

Just started with Trails in the Sky and I already bought part 2. This game is awesome and I have been searching for so long to play a good JRPG. I started with Final Fantasy, Persona, and YS VIII Lacrimosa of Dana (plus others) and I found this when I almost gave up on finding a new series.

I started with Trails in the Sky FC years ago, and then quickly my interest in the franchise grew from there. Having already played Sky trilogy, Crossbell duology and all the CS games, out of all the trails games I've played so far, Sky SC is still the best, S+ tier for me, followed by Ao. 😁😁

few errors in the last image. Sky FC is officially released on PC and PSP, not psvita. All three are in English on psvita via an english translation patch for the EVO versions and are great ways to play, but youre obviously ommiting translation dumps, so that's understandable. Zero and Azure are on the switch as well.

Start in whatever arc interests you most. just be aware that the later the arc you choose, the more you're going to spoil from previous arcs if you ever plan to play them.

I started with CS1 but I did go back to the previous games after cs2. I do not think playing in order is required since Falcom storytelling becomes a meme in games like cs3 and 4.

I kept looking at the games and thought From Zero was the first to start with. And I just bought it. Damn it! I hate not knowing what’s going on or who’s who so I gotta play em in order.

I completely agree. Evem with the start with cs if aky is too old, then go back to sky (not zero) part.

People who put zero on the same level as cold steel as a "good starting point" are complicit with Renne's horrible childhood, you are a monster.

I first played cold steel and had a ton of moments and stuff I missed out on so much. So i stopped at the last dungeon and had patched the english version of Sky Evolution games on vita. I couldn't go back to coldsteel when I couldn't even have access to Crossbell.
