Moustos Lake & Wetlands
Lake Moustos is located about 4 km from Astros in the South Peloponnese. The lake has therapeutic baths and very important wetlands. The surrounding wetlands cover an area of 1600 acres. It was declared a place of "Outstanding Natural Beauty" by the HMC with ecological interest for its flora and fauna, where many species of birds winter, especially swans, herons and ducks. Lake Moustos is an excellent place for birdwatching.
