WHO:

- common denominator: wrestled in AEW/ROH (since takeover) shows
- excluded are wrestlers (and their matches) who retired: f.e. AQA, Awesome Kong, Nicole Savoy
- excluded are wrestlers (and their matches) who left the company or were let go with no possible role in this active roster: f.e. Bea Priestley, Big Swole, Brandi Rhodes, Ivelisse, Shanna (certain wrestlers like Aja Kong or KiLynn King might get supplanted in the future)
- also you won’t find some bigger names like Allysin Kay, Heidi Howitzer, Max the Impaler, Miranda Alize, Queen Aminata, Priscilla Kelly, Session Moth Martinez, Shoko Nakajima, VENY, because the never actually had a singles win in AEW/ROH
- and even if Rebel (Reba) won two matches in Dark shows, those were „actual“ dark matches, not shown on Youtube and can’t be included (yet)

HOW:
- this isn’t a yearly ranking, but an all-time AEW/ROH (since takeover) ranking - only 1-on-1 singles matches count in this system, f.e. no Four Way Matches, because of the question how to integrate them, and, if those even mean as much as direct 1-on-1 matches
- in general I worked from the bottom to the top: if you have „won“ in AEW/ROH, you are part of the rankings. If you have won against wrestlers who themselves have achieved a victory, you are automatically ranked higher. Those are wins over „ranked competitors“ and not „non-ranked competitors“.
- sometimes in close decisions direct duels help to establish who ranks infront of whom, but the variations of number of matches, big wins, big losses etc. often don’t make this a clear cut. That’s why some wrestlers are infront of others even though they lost to them.
- I also included the biggest losses in this „algorithm“, but not in the graphics to avoid cluttering. Especially if I have to balance wrestlers with just a couple of matches with those who have been very active. Newer wrestlers like Toni Storm, Athena or those who take breaks to compete in Japan like Riho get a different approach than those, who pretty much faced
everyone.
