I've thought about getting one of the evolution saws. I got one of the Dewalt portable bandsaws a while ago and use it all the time.

A nice strong abrasive saw cuts the metal just a bit slower than the evolution if you have the right breaker in then you can put more weight on it.
I like my evolution saw but you cant cut 1 inch solid or certain tool steels if you want the blade to last more than a few days and forget about cutting any hardened metal.
Also if the blade gets dull it will still cut ok but shoot red hot shrapnel everywhere including your arms. I like the evolution for tube steel but if I could only have one it's the abrasive one.
Its best to have them all including a nice bandsaw.
