Well I agree with gold being a good investment and all, but it's a fallacy when we talk about top 1% getting richer and bottom 20% (or whatever the percentage) going no where. People move up along the "income brackets." For instance, since 1975, 95% of low earners have moved up to top 20%, at the same time we have individuals falling off the top brackets and being replaced. The problem with such statistics is that they don't track the actual individuals as they move up or down the income brackets.
