War in Yemen: Implications for Regional and U.S. Security

On January 17, the conflict in Yemen reached new levels when Yemeni Houthis, an Iranian-backed rebel group, launched a drone attack against the United Arab Emirates. The strike ignited several weeks of escalation as the Saudi Arabia-led military coalition, of which the UAE is a member, targeted Houthi strongholds and camps. These events unfolded amid a backdrop of one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern times, as the seven-year civil war ravages Yemen’s population, infrastructure, and security.

Thank you so much. It was very educational conversation. However, I agree with the notion that Transitional Council doesn't represent all the South and Houthis don't represent all the North. Likewise, so many Yemenis see the government in exile never represents Yemen.
