Taking my 78mph TA04SS and a broken TA04 to make 1 good Brushless Rally Car for the 'Lockdown Garden' Rally

In this video I build the Evo (IV or VI?) and give it a quick speed test, and then a quick test run in the garden.

Part 2 will be building and testing the Tamiya Mini M03Ra

Cheap Brushless Motor Combo:

GPS Speed Meter

Seems I may have cut a rare Tamiya Mitsubishi Evo IV or VI body! Sorry!

Make new holes for the body posts, and use the drifters trick of cable ties to put the rear back on !

Today I cleaned and lubed my tamiya manta Ray. 1 time when I open a tamiya car. I was just amazed with the quality of the parts. I mean u can't compare with the cheap wltoys or what so ever

Did that goolrc combo come prewired with bullets and XT60? That's really nice. Most brand name stuff comes either with no connectors or garbage proprietary stuff.

That's my favorite evo body style. I'm building a tamiya TT01 Evo 9 drift setup for a buddy.

From where u get the parts for the ta04. Cuz some parts can be a pain in butt to get.

Very interesting, Phil. Good to get the old Tamiya sorted, bloody quick too! As for the Mini, I reckon it'll be mental on the road, fast and mega twitchy!!! But on a garden rally in the grass - the 4WD will blow it away my friend! I tried a M03 on the dirt once, it was wheelspin city even with the silver can! :)

The TT01 with the Evo shell would have been your best bet in my opinion buddy! But in my experience the TB01 and TL01 are the best rally capable chassis Tamiya ever made. Have run both TL01 and TB01 brushless and they were mental!

I was gonna do this to my subaru imprezla '99 but then i stripped out the spur because i had it one to far in now im trying to get the tt01 chassis off Amazon thats like 130$ but comes with a lot of upgrade parts, carbon fiber chassis, carbon fiber shock towers, metal diffs, metal drive shafts, metal shocks, ect.

Is this still from that collection you bought? Hours of content and fun!

Are you running marine grease in your kits for outside use? I've been debating getting a 400g tube, but it's a pain during lockdown.
