THis was a brilliant video, much better than that one on HMRC. Three questions, if there is currently just me in my limited company but I want to add ONE more person, (1) where do I add the details of say John Brown who I then want to give 50 shares to, and keep 50 shares for myself. (2) Why do I have to make the 1 share to 100 shares and then divide 50:50. Why can't I increase the 1 share to 2 shares with a value of £1 each - and just give me and John 1 share each? and finally (3) How do I assign John as a B-share holder? rather than ordinary?

That was a big help
I created a limited company and issued 1 Share, but would like to increase that to 100, but wondered if only 1 can be issued and paid with 99 unpaid and not allotted, if that makes sense

Great Video. I have just registered a limited company with the standard 1 ordinary share, and appointed 2 further Directors of differing skillsets through WebFiling on the basis that we 3 will be equal share holder. Nice and easy and all looks correct on Companies House website. Am i correct to say I can either issue 2 further shares to make 3 altogether being 1 each, 98 further shares to make 99 altogether being 33 each and so on? Then after the SH01 form has been submitted through WebFiling I then allocate the shares equally with share certificate followed up by the confirmation statement?

Thanks for the video. Very helpful. I have just added 99 shares to my company to make it 100 as I want to give a new director 50 shares. How do I do that? I have successfully submitted the SH01 form. Thank you.

I have a question...

I am currently the only director and shareholder of the company, but I want to invest £2000 cash into the company through allotting shares to myself. Am I right in saying that I allotting 1 share with a nominal value of £2000 is the exact same as allotting 2000 shares with a nominal value of £1 each?

Also is the company ownership determined by the number of shares in the company, or by the total of the nominal value paid for the shares? So for example If I allotted 2000 shares to myself with a nominal value of £1 each, and also allotted 1 share with a nominal value of £2000 to an investor, would we both own the same stake in the company?

Thanks for your help.

Jason.

Is this the same form you would use for transferring sharers that already exist instead of new shares ?

Can I issue shares of a different class and rights? ie the box standard share structure from companies house came with 100. I would like to give some away but without voting rights

Hi. We set up a company 50/50 shares between myself and my partner. We had to transfer it solely in my name giving me the 100 shares, however we now want her to rejoin half the company. Is this simply filing an Sho1 form?
