Just get a Polar Ignite? In this tutorial, I show you how to setup and get started with your Polar Ignite smartwatch. I also show you how to pair your iPhone or Android phone with your watch. Performing the initial setup on the Polar Ignite is very simple and can be completed in less than 20 minutes.

How to setup your Polar Ignite:
1. Charge your Polar Ignite using the included USB charging cable.
2. Once charging, push the button on the watch to turn it on.
3. Select your desired language on the watch.
4. Select your method for setup. In this tutorial, I set up up the watch with my phone.
5. Install the Polar Flow app on your phone.
6. Once installed, open the Polar Flow app and select Get Started.
7. The app should now find your Polar Ignite, Select Start. If it does not find your Ignite, ensure the Ignite is still in setup mode and that the bluetooth on your phone is turned on.
8. Once you have selected Start, sign in to your Polar Flow account or create a new account.
9. Once the Polar Ignite completes setup, you will need to make some settings selections. These include which wrist the watch will be worn on, time format, device language, and sleep length preference.
10. Once you have selected your desired settings, select Save and sync.
11. If an update is available, I recommend doing it, because it can make the watch more stable. Select Update to begin this process. Note: it can take an additional 20 minutes to update the firmware on the Polar Ignite.
12. Your Polar Ignite is now set up. I recommend fully charging the watch before using it.

What are the options to charge the Polar Ignite - can it be charged using the wall socket or must it be charged using a laptop or powerbank only? I am asking because I have charged the M400 using the wall socket and powerbank multiple times. However the M430 permanently died the first time I charged using the wall socket and first time I used powerbank.

There isn't a red dot on the backside of my polar. Does it open somewhere, or what ?
