This video serves as my year end reading recap for the book a week reading challenge I undertook at the beginning of the year. This video is my thoughts on the books read, the majority of which are nonfiction encompassing psychology books, philosophy, self-improvement, business, economics, and a few more books.

This is my third video about books, please leave C&C in the comments below.

Thank you all for the support on this video! I have noticed that the majority of viewers are not subscribed and I wanted to take the opportunity to get some /market research/ if you would. Is this a type of video you would like to see more of? If so is it because of the selection of books or more about the self improvement aspect? I look forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing more of you in the future!

Your last video inspired me to set the same goal for my 2020. I find it interesting that you read so much non-fiction because I've always been more inclined to fiction. I definitely want to read more non-fiction this year, especially related to psychology, which interests me a lot but I've never really explored. I've added multiple books to my TBR from your recommendations.

Good job on completing the challenge, I'd like to see the video reflecting on the experience!

I set myself a goal a few years ago to read 52 books in a year. I think the closest I came was like 51 books haha. I set my goal this year at 60 books.
When Breath Becomes Air is on my TBR!
You definitely read some very interesting and thought provoking books!

My goal has always been 50 books a year, but yes, I've never kept it where I was literally read a book a week. Once I read 80 books in one summer to "catch-up." When Breath Becomes Air really was good. 💙

Edit: YouTube recommended this, I didn't realize it was a year old.

Thanks, David! I added some more to the cart. You may like The Art of the Good Life and The Art of Thinking Clearly, both by Ralph Dobelli. He's heavy on psychology and stoicism. Maybe you could review those? I'll review them as well. Keep it up!

You misspelled interest on your counter. That aside, great recap with quick reviews. I took note of a few and intend to pick them up.

I didn't get a lot out of The Art of War either. However, both Free Will and Lying were really formative for me.

I agree that Lying is black and white; so is Free Will. Harris is quite Kantian.

It's a great idea, but you need to add image stabilization when showing the books

I would have a hard time enjoying the books reading them that fast. I take my time reading a book. I always enjoyed reading. I enjoy it a lot more as an adult. When I was a student I was so worried about what would be on the test I could not enjoy the book.
