The baseline and her voice . . . Such a beautiful pairing. RIP Christine McVie, her maiden name was Christine Perfect, which describes her voice. If you haven’t heard song bird, that should be next if you want more Christine ❤

Written and sung by the late Christine McVie. The song was inspired by Christine McVie's short-lived romance with the band's lighting director, Curry Grant. Christine told her then husband...John McVie and fellow band members that the song was about her dog to avoid any conflicts at the time.

Ah ya, nothing like writing a song about your new lover and making your husband play it and watch it become a huge hit. That's Fleetwood Mac Rumors for ya 😂

Christine McVie is superb.
There's a hidden gem from the 25th Anniversary Fleetwood Mac Box Set, called "Heart Of Stone" that everybody should check out.
And there's the under-rated and reacted to gem from their Greatest Hits, "As Long As You Follow"~~~and it was a HIT!
Don't sleep on Ms. Perfect!
Her contributions, pre-Stevie & Lindsey, are beautiful tracks, as well!!

In 1977 I took a 400 mile trip on a bus and back then a small transistor radio with a single ear piece was the only music device we had. I heard this song at least 10 times on that trip. Everytime we rode past some radio station's range and I tuned into the next town, this song played within the time that station was recieved on my little radio.

Needless to say, this was quite popular.

I bought this album in 1977 when it came out for the song Go Your Own Way. Got home and listened to the whole album and was just amazed, not one bad track on the whole thing, and it showcases the talents of Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham's vocals. For all the drama this is just a great album.

I'm a 52 guy who grew up in the 80s on hair metal and this is one of my all time favorite songs. Absolutely love it. I've got to thank my father for this one. He played everything in our home growing up. Miss you Dad.

It's amazing how popular this album was and is. It is still on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart this week at #32 ... its 594th week on the chart.

Amazing what can come out of chaos sometimes.

Fleetwood Mac is best heard on a really good system with a lot of bass. Seriously! I'm white and even all my black friends agree. They heard these songs before on the radio with no bass and was like "it's ok". But after hearing them on a truly good hard hitting system, they changed their opinion and love it!

One thing to know about the post end of music after a song slips down the charts.
It would get the Slice and Dice for commercial life
While fame is via the charts/album sales
The BIG MONEY comes with the advertising industry

I can't believe that the first time i ever heard this song was on a retro gay porn movie. I've loved it ever since but it was hilarious. Grew up with the Mac from my grandad but this song always had a funny story for me. 😂

RIP Christine McVie
