Holbein Artists' Watercolors PASTEL Set of 12: Swatch, Comparison & Making Dupes!

Swatching out this lovely watercolour paint set from Holbein, and having a play with creating my own versions, using the Roman Szmal Titanium White watercolour pan!
Whilst the paints are nice quality, my only comment would be that I wouldn't class these all as classic pastel colours. I think if you are going to add white pigment to watercolours, you might as well really have fun - the Phthalo Green with Titanium White for example, which I show, is really beautiful, and a soft lemon yellow and softer green would have been nice too.

Oh wow, this set might be really important to put my personal colour palette together!! I don´t have much money to spend so I carefully watch lots of videos about swatching and mixing and everything, but in the end I really really want to have and know! my own best mix of my light spring colours. 😂😂😅😅🙈🙈💝💝

Today is my kid's last day of high school. For a graduation gift, I'm giving them the Paul Rubens tin of 24 metallic colors, supplemented by adding these Holbein pastels to the empty row down the middle. 😊

ShinHan Swc has a similar pastel set on Amazon in15ml tubes for about the same price as the Holbein 5ml set.

I saw these on the Jackson website, sooo tempted!!! Not that I need anymore water colours 🙈 but I’m a sucker for pastel art products so we’ll see how long I can hold out 😅
I was surprised how reasonable shipping to Canada is!! My 200$ order came with free shipping or 9$ to get it here in 3-9 days! Expecting my new Caran D’ache pencils on Tuesday & I can’t wait!! 😝 I chose all open stock pastel colours & a few mid tones to go with 😋 I think Jackson’s will be seeing a lot of me now that my favourite in store Canadian art supply shop has closed down.. 🦋🎨💘🍭

Thank you for this video. The colours and names are identical to Holbeins Pastel coloured pencils. It seems Holbein keeps its colours consistent across their product ranges
