In this episode of Arise, we discuss the promise of suffering.
If one lives long enough in this broken world, we will all face suffering. The Bible is clear that suffering is inevitable but Jesus tells us we are never alone and there is purpose through it all. Join me as we talk about the fiery furnace of affliction and how we are refined and purified by it.

AMBER'S:

About this channel: Welcome to my channel. I'm Amber Smith. My husband Granger and I live on a little farm in central Texas with lots of animals and our beautiful, super funny kiddos. We have London, Lincoln, River (who is now with Jesus) and Maverick. This channel is a spin off of our family vlog The Smiths.

I started Arise, when we lost our son, to share my feelings of loss, grief, love, hope, parenting and my faith journey along the way. We comb through scripture, I share what the Lord puts on my heart, I answer questions and more. My hope through Arise is that something I say makes you want to seek Jesus. He changed my life and my heart when I was in my 30s and I've been sharing the good news ever since.

Life is hard but God is so good. I pray you are encouraged each week. Make sure you subscribe and hit the notification bell so you don't miss any videos! I can't wait to see you Sunday mornings at 8am central! Welcome to Arise! You are chosen!

Excellent message. On this day, I am a childless Mother, who lost her Mom, and I am the Step Mom to kids who have lost there birth mom this past week. Clinging to His word and care and love helped me to get through my grief. For my kids(step), this message will help them. ❤️

My 27 year old son died in a drowning accident in 2016. Joseph, my son had just recommitted his life to Jesus. I understand, it was not an easy season for us! Yes, I too, came to the conclusion, God's ways are so much higher then ours. God has a purpose in all things. Even death. The day of his tragic accident, I was having a melt down alone in my bathroom, crying out to Jesus, and the Lords peace and His still voice gently spoke to me..Jesus said, it's OK Jo, your son, Joseph is with me! I had been praying for him, my heart cry was, Father, whatever it takes.. I just want him in your Kingdom. God took him while His hand was in him. I still grieved, but held on to His promises. Thank you for sharing! What you are saying is so true! ❤🙏🕊️🌹

Last Sunday I stayed home from Church-mourning the passing of my Mom. May 25 was a year. I turned your YouTube on since I had missed Church. Now I know why 😊

Amber, I have been through many trials and suffering. I was bullied throughout middle school and high school, molested by my adoptive father, married to an abusive husband, lost custody of my three children to their abusive father and I cared for my mother during her final years on Earth.
But God was always with me, like Footprints in the Sand. I will be 70 years old on Halloween and I felt Jesus carrying me through everything. Suffering is needed to strengthen your faith. You're doing an amazing service and witness with your channel.
God Bless and keep you and your family snuggled up in His loving arms.

Good morning Amber. I haven't been here awhile. I'm usually at church. I overslept was so upset and this message. Wow. Thanks for sharing. I suffered so many things. I feel it got worse because of how I dealt with them. Since giving God control, my life has been getting better. Job is my fav chapter. I've lost a child and many other things. I have also received Jesus and a lot of beautiful things in my current life. Sometimes the grief still comes. It's usually fleeding. It doesn't take control anymore.

We have a cousin who lost her husband 3 days before her 3rd baby was born. Her other two are 3 and 2. Her grief is still so new that just being there and holding one of the babies is what she needs. I will share this with her later. Pray for Amanda and her 3 babies.

My daughter Amber lost all 3 of her children. She fought to keep them. But the state took them away. It tore her heart up.
They put a depo shot in her arm and will not remove it and it's been over 5 years.
Please pray for her. Pray for my grandchildren they were split into 3 different families.

Thank you for a wonderful message this week Amber. Your grief has saved so many people. Because of your grief you do Arise which reaches all of us, but all of the outreach you do as well is saving people. You have been a huge inspiration to me. Because of you I bought my first Bible and now read it every day. I started at the beginning and I’m in Matthew now. I watch Take and Read podcast every Wednesday and you every Sunday. Of course I follow Granger as well. All because of you. Thank you Amber, I’ll never be able to thank you enough for changing my life. ❤

I lost my adult son on May 9th of this year he was only 33….I had him when I was 20 we sort of grew up together…nothing ever came easy for him, he was born at 28 weeks weighing in at 3 pounds…he fought to live just to die 33 years later…and I’m sick to death of people asking me how I’m doing…anyway I understand now that level of pain, it has changed me…

Oh Praises to Jesus, this was needed. My mom passed 6.23.19, the my Dad 09.01.20. They served Jesus 60+, yrs, My heart was shattered, I know they are singing praises to God that I know. Amber you are like when we would have talks together, purpose, the kingdom, equipping ourselves with Gods word. I cry somedays, the human loneliness my kids are wonderful, but don’t understand fully, I pray everyday for them. Love this group arise, thank you for realizing Jesus needed you both in your suffering for his kingdom, our loved ones are more alive than we can imagine, but somedays we hurt. ❤❤love you all in Jesus

Thank you Amber for this message today. Though my mom is still physically with us between the dementia and the stroke a few years ago she's not here. I am a mom of 1 and this year she lives 6 hours away and though in other years we may not have seen each other or just in passing this year was just hard. I watched Granger's book trailer and printed out the verses that we were sent in email and it got me thinking; how many times is the word river (rivers & river's) mentioned in the Bible. I sat with my Stong's Concordance last night and counted over 200 times one of these words is mentioned. I did not read them all in my Bible but eventually I will. I pray you have a good day as I hope I will as well.
