As an Afghan, I would like to thank you for showing the positive side of Afghanistan that the corporate media do not want to show the world. About the people who asked you to take their children to the US have a story. Most Afghans want to leave the country because of extreme poverty and unemployment. They see their neighbors and close relatives sending them pictures and throwing lavish parties and think the US is a heaven where everyone gets rich. As soon as they land in the US, they find themselves with a culture shock and factory work, some go to depreciation and loneliness. A lot of Afghans returned to Afghanistan when they left the country back in 2021 because of loneliness, language barriers, and racism.

A black American woman in Afghanistan? I didn't know I needed to see this until I did. I am so glad you had a positive experience and want to go back. I'm really looking forward to that content!

As an Afghan living in Kabul, welcome to my country. All people are welcome here. I see that the situation here isn't ideal but we have to go through these hardships. Thank you for visiting us. Long live unity and peace among nations 🇦🇫🤝🇺🇸

When you mentioned that people begged you to honor them by coming in to their homes, it really made me realize that the people of Afghanistan are not what the perception of their country is. I thought they would be closed off and unwelcoming, but they are open and caring and truly are so Never would you get this kind of welcome even from family in the USA. We take individuals for granted and we don't show interest in new people most of the time. In my opinion.

As a black American traveler, I always wanted to visit Afghanistan & Pakistan. Every country I go to, they treat me with humanity, dignity & respect. They are beautiful humble people. God bless.

This is an unforgettable video and I feel richly blessed for having watched it. As a black woman, I would have been fearful to make this trip. Thank you for your bravery to embark upon this journey. I’m glad that you travelled safely and that you were met with such kindness and hospitality by the Afghani people.

This is a Freaking award winning video. I know about Afghanistan over the years. The US has left many devastated countries after waging war against them. You proved your journalists abilities. You just opened up the vail to Afghanistan... No One Dares to report from there like this. I'm so proud of you, way to go.

I cannot begin to tell you how incredible this documentary is. The cinematography, the storytelling, the way you portray Afghan people to be human just like everyone else despite how we’ve been programmed to see them, truly comes through in your story. How awesome! Bravo! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜☮️💜

I served there as a deployment for a year. My experience with the culture was quite intriguing and beautiful. The children was my favorite part of my journey. They were so interested in learning from me. That place changed my perspective on life.Thank you.. this is nostalgic to me. We should share stories some time.

I love when the boys show you that landscape. Love the mountains. Giving you the honey for free was so generous even with everything going on, they are generous and kind, even knowing your American. Wow
