A new book written by Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmishta Mukherjee has brought back attention on the UPA years in power and on Rahul Gandhi. The book is based upon Mukherjee’s handwritten diary entries and his conversation with Sharmishta who had a brief stint as a Congress politician.

The book titled- “Pranab My Father – A daughter remembers’ makes multiple startling revelations. In an exclusive interview with Barkha Dutt, Sharmistha spoke about her father, his diaries and shared multiple anecdotes to give an insight into the UPA years.

BJP has started targeting the Congress over the new book and revelations.

First time I saw Tehaseen enjoying deriding so called congress supporters. This guy Yogendra Yadav, who is supposed to be a intellectual, liberal and leftist trying to hoodwink the common man saying congress got more votes than Bjp by counting Telangana votes of Bjp, with that of other 3 states. With same logic, let’s total Karnataka, Gujarat and Himachal and we we will find Bjp votes are far more than congress but lost two states.
