I think this is a top pick for us bedroom rockers that want a physical amp with all the recording capabilities.

You can tell they've really applied a lot of thought to everything here... it's very refreshing to see a proper MIDI footswitch implementation. Steve Fryette knows his stuff alright !... Great coverage, thanks Paul. 👍

So cool that you used the Friedman BB/BE module with this (which I own). What a great preamp with a great contrast between the channels clean to drive. It does sound like the stock clean channel is a little sweeter than my Syn30's which seems very flat to me. Even in this demo you can hear how the immediacy and the attach transients come through on a platform like this verses going through that initial AD stage of a modeler. I love the Synergy stuff.

Great demo, and those clean tones are absolutely beautiful! Really looking forward to this amp. Cheers!

The amp sounds fantastic!

I just got a PT 15 a few days ago and am really impressed with it. I’ve connected it to speaker cabinets, directly to a recording interface, and into an FRFR. I haven’t connected it to headphones yet. I love the flexibility and the sounds I’m getting out of it. It’s good to see more products coming out with these options!

Thanks Paul for a great rundown. The Synergy system is the ticket that might put my modelers on the shelf for a while. I'm looking forward to seeing a deep dive on the Tone King Imperial module when it is released. Cheers my friend!

The cleans are lovely to be fair. I have an old H||H IC100S head from the 70's and that is also amazing.

Sounds great - currently running my synergy setup into a fryette power station for self attenuation so wonder if it would sound better than that.

Such a great amp! Watched other reviews but with your reviews I can really tell how it sounds and how to use it in practical terms

Great video Paul, thank you! I'm considering buying this system, but I run a stereo rig for delay and modulation and am a bedroom practicer and small Americana gig player with relatively quiet drums. The 20 watt realm is great, but do you have a suggestion for a solution for those of us with a stereo rig who want a stereo all tube and appropriately 'pushed' power amp section? The SYN5050 seems like it would be too much and too loud.

Unrelated aside, your Mezzabarba Skill 30 capture pack is tremendous and it's the core of my QC rig tone these days. Awesome tone and expressivity and I feel inspired to play it every day. Well done!!

I like the modularity of Synergy amps a lot, having access to convincing authorised versions of a plethora of boutique amps is great. I do have one question about this 20 watter - do you think the clean channel could overcome a a drummer who means it? I can see how this is an excellent studio amp, (the included cab IRs put it up there with the considerably more expensive Suhr PT15 and assorted Revv amps) that might be perfect for my needs, but I would want enough headroom on that clean channel (a little bit of hair is good, it wouldn't have to be clinical). Or, would I be better off getting the 30 or 50 waat head (or, the rack mount pre-amp and power amp versions for a full return to the '80's)?

I'm a bedroom player and I'm really thinking about getting this. I haven't bought a physical amp in over 10 years. Thoughts?
