You control a shinobi, Joe Musashi, who must battle his way through each level in search of hostages which must be rescued. You have shurikens, kicks and punches to defend yourself with, as well as powerful ninja magic which can clear the screen of enemies in one go.

Each level is broken down into smaller scenes, and hostages are guarded by big blokes who throw swords. Watch out for gun-toting enemy henchmen and ninjas. Reaching the end of each level will find you battling it out with a boss. These range from 8ft tall giants to helicopter gunships.

Umbeliviable game play ! Never taught it was possible to act like a real ninja in this game, fighting less as possible, only when no other choice ! I played hard so many time way back in at the backery next to my school and was so proud when I finished the game the first time with only 3 crédits ! !

Back in the 90's we would go for pizza hut on Friday or Saturday nights and they had this arcade cabinet along with Double Dragon. And as soon as i heard the music playing, my heart would skip beats!! Always had a fist full of washingtons and greasy ass hands from the pizza. Such a core memory!!

I like how the player doesn't really try during the bonus stage because that's the quickest way to finish. "Guess I'll throw a few shuriken over here... maybe there... (Yawns) Oh noooo, I lost. That's a shame."
