i just made this (after trying unsuccessfully with a different recipe earlier this year)! when a friend gifted me some lotus cookies, i ran here to try this. thank you so so so much, this made my holidays perfect! so easy to make, and the taste is identical. this will definitely not last long in my fridge lol

Lotus spread is a bit expensive where I live, I'll definitely be trying this
Edit: I tried it out and it came out nice and smooth, althought it's a bit runny at room temperature, and slightly thicker when refrigerated, I'd recommend experimenting with the amount of evaporated milk and adding less for a thicker texture, it's not 100% spot on with the store bought spread, but it still tastes good, it has less calories than the store bought version but it costs half of the price to make, it's worth trying it out :) thanks for the video

My local grocery store sells spread for $7-8 when some others sell for $4… wanted to make cheese cake and bought them just yeaterday😓 But my airline serves lotus cookies and we always have left overs! I will be bringing home a big bag next time I work… Thank you for the recipe💕
