Metering Modes Explained - Photography

When you aren't shooting in full manual, your camera uses metering to determine the proper exposure. Depending on your style of photography, you may want to change the metering mode to help you properly expose your images.

Most cameras start in multi or matrix metering mode, which is the jack of all trades. This mode works decently for all kinds of photography but isn't what I'd recommend...

If you're a landscape photographer, use highlight priority and set your meter to +/-0.0. This helps to ensure you won't overexpose the highlights and lose detail in the brightest parts of your images. Spot or center metering will likely be the best option for most other photographers. If you don't care about blowing out the highlights and care more about proper exposure on your subject, use spot or center metering modes.

Hey, Just wanted to know if A6600 is still a solid camera for hybrid shooters, or should i wait for A6700 to come down under 1000 bucks. I'm getting a6600 on sale for 699$ here in India. Should i go ahead?
