In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service and the celebrations kickoff in a couple of week's time.
"Rule, Britannia!" is a British patriotic song, originating from the 1740 poem "Rule, Britannia" by James Thomson and set to music by Thomas Arne in the same year. It is most strongly associated with the Royal Navy, but is also used by the British Army. This song is played in various keys depending on whether congregational singing is involved or not. Opera singers usually sing this in Bb but I'm playing this in the key of G Major and the full version has 5 verses. This one has 3. This arrangement is completely by ear, and hopefully you like it.
