17:31 Has to be one of the best scenes of BFDI as a whole.

It’s what explains why Firey hasn’t done much in this season: Because he lost his motivation to win. Ever since the beginning of the show, Firey LOVED winning. And when his wish came true, his best friend took his prize away from the poor dude. But then he had another chance in BFDIA, which…didn’t really go well. Slowly after that, we can see how he slowly lost his motivation to compete, when for example he sounds demotivated in BFB 11 or last episode. Despite that, if he has a chance to win anything, he’ll try to use it. (For example when he steals the diary, or in BFB 29.)
One of the main reasons why Firey’s my favorite character.

This episode was honestly Leafy at her best. She felt so genuine here..

I like that Leafy and Firey’s conversation occurred without them knowing we could see it. They were both worried about being eliminated if we, the viewers, only saw them come back and lie to the court about the diary thief without this precious context. It really makes the scene have real stakes!
