Oak Picture Frame - Framing A Pet Portrait

In this video I make a frame for a pet portrait of our cat Dylan.

I use some salvaged oak to make the picture frame - a very lucky skip find!

Stay tuned until the end to see if Dylan likes it!

Here are some links to my recent mitre station build videos which I mentioned:

It's always a great video when Dylan's in it.

In my experience you might well have the pleasure of Dylan’s company for quite a few years to come.
I love cats and have had three and all lived into their early 20s!
A well loved and cared for cat (which Dylan CLEARLY is)should live a long life nowadays. Modern cat food and supplements help too.
Great project and a well deserved tribute to the star of your show!

Being a cat man myself, this is a great project.

Those dreaded mitre cuts on complex molding...You're a champ, Keith, well done. Of course Dylan is the star, but its a pretty sweet frame too.

Hi Keith nice picture with a perfect frame, they say a cat look's down on you a dog look's up to you and a pig look's you straight in the eye, G

Handsome cat, lovely job. I share the worries of a few other people that the weight would be better supported by the oak, rather than the backing - be terrible if it gave way and it fell off the wall. Keep them coming.

A lovely tribute to Dylan, B&Q does some mirror fixings which are great for hanging heavy pictures, I have a picture frame to make for a picture that our daughter bought us, thank you.

Nice frame but proper hanging hardware will make sure it the picture will not fall down. Add D ring hangers to the back about 10 cm down from the top and 1 cm in from the side. You can then string wire through the D rings or just hang the D rings onto screws
