to me the lich from AT was always what a lich was supposed to be. not a cackling skeleton wizard who plotted the heros demise from his tower, but an actual malevolent entity that stops at nothing to complete its goals and doesnt hesitate or stop to monologue before killing the hero just something creepy, wicked, and downright disturbing

Spoilers for adventure time distant lands together again
I think the ending they gave finn Jake and the lich was amazing having the lichs final grand plan be to become death himself was a great idea in my opinion and I think they got the ending finn and Jake deserved where the lich is defeated and launched to a far off place in the great nothing not out right killing him but leaving it open enough for a potential return just like he said to Finn all those years ago
Another great thing is just the lichs first line that episode

This is such a good piece. It can really capture the dread and impending doom the Lich is always speaking on.

Green comet is coming is a good name, but I just thought of 'Comet Cometh' and man does that fit.
