You are the only one on YouTube with a very nice comprehensive, short to the point, comparison video between the T7i and the 77D. It really helps the viewer see the price differences between the two systems. Most other reviewers on youtube have done horrendous reviews where they mash up the two cameras as the same system, pointing the lcd screen on the 77d as the only difference. Others, especially all reviews of the 77d are mostly Australian mkbhd wannabes and they do a really poor job at it. So thank you so much for your awesome review!

This was helpful as I was kind of under the impression that the 77D was many levels over a t5 but to kind of find out it really is only 2 levels above it, is actually a bummer. I am trying to upgrade from my t5 and prefer to find something in that same price point but more like 5 levels above a t5. I do prefer the 77D because I feel the Rebel line in itself is just lower quality to me if I see someone who is attempting to do photography as a pro or business, they do not use a Rebel they have at least something in the D line.

Very nice video! I have the T7i and really love it! It's my first REAL camera since my film days 25+ years ago! I am thinking about upgrading to the 80D but I'm not sure if it's a worth while upgrade? Maybe I should save for the 6D Mark ii?

Interesting factoid. The Rebel SL1 had the sensor on the back above the viewfinder. The SL2 which is supposed to be an upgrade did not, neither did the T7 or T7i! Canon added the sensor again with the 77D. I have always wondered why they omitted it from the previous 3 cams (which I have owned, excluding the 77D).

hiiii, ithoughtnthey two were similar but i was very dissapointed when i realize 77d just record in mp4 vs t7i that also record video .mov. d u think is not that important?

going to buy the 77D later this year!been using Nikon since 2010 and going to try the assbackwards menu of Canon and I have had the Sony A58 but some of the L lenses are pretty cool!not going for the video modes at all since I am a photographer at heart and the dual pixel focus seems very fast and accurate!

I like the advance feature for professional camera on 77D but im just a beginner so i'll go with t7i..

As of June, 2018, it seems that Canon grossly overestimated the market draw of this model. It's currently available at 100 dollars less than the t7i, whose features are slightly inferior. But, by so dropping the price, it seems Canon has revealed the profit margin to be about 200 out of the original price of 849
