Ukraine War: Traffickers 'targeting refugees'

Officials warn that human traffickers are trying to take advantage of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war.

Protection has been stepped up for women and children who might fall victim to human trafficking gangs.

Some people are inhuman, to enslave these poor people fleeing from war is unspeakable cruelty. This is why visas are right, the refugees will know their government will know where they are to hopefully reunite them with their families when this despicable war is over and our government can properly protect them once they are here, all their rights will be protected and benefits, healthcare and schools can be given the extra resources.

Thanks for that report!! It's very impornant to spread these news as some of those refugees escaping quite safe land, like wester Ukraine, and running stright to the hell which they wouldn't experience even in Ukraine right now!

This is why the UN Refugee agency as well as agencies from aid agencies need to be at the border checkpoints to provide aid and get them to safe locations to prevent human trafficking. The US says it is a leader in stopping human trafficking but no where does there seem to be evidence of US assistance at the border or popup assistance centers. Large cargo aircraft carrying in motions and other aid are landing all over Europe but unlike previous refugee crisis the airplanes are returning empty rather than full of those most at risk. Why isn't Sky news and other news agencies posing this question to the US administration? So far the Biden administration is totally silent despite pleas and offers from throughout the US to offer assistance. It makes me ashamed to be a US citizen. Please reach out to press organizations, elected officials, the US State Department and the President and demand answers and action immediately. Otherwise we are condoning trafficking.
