I love Sam Witwer. Is he a bit too much of a hardcore SW fan? Yes absolutely. But he gets what Lucas was doing with Star Wars better than Kathleen Kennedy. He understands Star Wars.

The Flash tv show, regardless of how people feel about it, does have those very same qualities as Sam mentions here in regards to the good guy not doing what people around him say and actually trying to save villains instead of kill them. Hollywood and TV does still absolutely do those things, even the latest Dr Strange movie did it in a bit of a similar regard to all his variants tried to kill Chavez and take her power to defeat the bad guy but he doesn't even take an inch of her power gets her to do it herself etc. People just dont look for that sorta stuff in films or tv anymore because people are more focused on looking for agendas that they're told about so they can complain about in this internet age of rage bait we are in

With the Ewoks this is a pretty mid film. Fricking teddy bear terrorists? Not my cuppa tea, lad. It was a prelude to some of the overwrought poop in the prequels. I'm old, I watched A New Hope in theaters, and I know George was not being kept on a leash after Empire, which was a major mistake. He's not the second coming. He's a talented creative who needed grounding.
