This is so jokes. She literally contradicted herself when she said “ Science should not stand in the way of this..." too "The science is very clear on this".

Anyone who thinks she's saying science isn't important is clearly misreading what she said. She didn't say "should not stand in the way" as if it was "to hell with science". She was intending it to come across as, "the science does not preclude a safe return to school." That's why she immediately followed it up with different sources. Did it come off the right way? Not to a lot of people apparently. But it's confirmation bias, pure and simple.

This is nothing more than journalistic dishonesty. Whether or not the majority of scientists would agree is totally a fair debate. But misconveying her intentions is dishonest at very best.
