USPS is really terrible and unprofessional. Tracking is useless and unclear.

When i was a kid I watched Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. One of my favorite characters was the mail man Mr. McFeely. Remember his catch phrase Speedy Delivery!" ? And he was so polite, efficient and fast. That's what we customers expect from the real USPS. And not just USPS ALL mail services from all over the world.

I recently retired after 34 years carrying mail and was so frustrated at management sweeping my complaints under the rug! I'd bring back 4 buckets of mail misdelivered after following one of these new hirees and was laughed at by the supervisors. After three years of this I just gave up.

I paid for tracking, package was lost so I went to the branch office and they told me there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with a supervisor and I was told there is no supervisor. As if that day i only buy stuff that ships UPS or FEDEX.

As a former mail carrier of the United States Postal Service I have seen what happens behind the scenes and know first hand what is wrong with USPS. First is the horrendous training. I was in a class of 52 and only me and one other guy moved on to become mail men from that class. Most quit during orientation after finding out what it is really like to be a true mail man. After training they throw you into the pit of hell that is the postal service to case and deliver your own mail by yourself after only three days of working there. The supervisors expect you do perform the physical labor of 10 men in a physically impossible amount of time and are constantly rushing you to be faster, faster, faster!! Even though you know in your heart that you are going as fast as you can. They sent me out on my own the day after a holiday with a massive volume of mail that was almost unreal to believe unless you saw it with your own two eyes. That day I didn't finish casing my mail until 2:00 PM and I was still out delivering mail by 8:00 PM! Understaffed and they will work you to your death. I was waking up at 4:00 in the morning every day and working 12 hour days six days a week and I had developed a severe form of sleep exhaustion. They do not let you take sick days because you are tired so I continued to work. A mistake. The regular carrier with the longest and most impossible route, (route 18) had originally taken three vacation days off that I was to sub on her route for but three days turned to seven days because she kept calling in sick and for seven days I had her long impossible route. Another mistake. On the last day of working for the USPS I was on the bad route for my last time. They had me stack the mail a different way so I was faster but it caused a blind spot problem even more than there already was one. I had just completed the first half of the route and I was at a blind T intersection and as I said the USPS LLV has bad blind spots. I looked both ways after making a full stop at the stop sign and couldn't see any cars so I began making my turn when a car came from the blind side of the T going way too fast as I was turning. You can guess what happened next: I couldn't hit my brakes fast enough and the front of my LLV bumped this woman's car. She said it didn't look like her car even had a dent and she told me she would let me go because she knew they would can my ass if they found out the LLV even touched another vehicle as I was still on 90 day probation. The woman in the black car is what cost me the job. She drove straight to the Post Office and told them I hit her car. They called me back and canned my ass and that was the end of my mail carrier job.

I’m a small business owner and some of the packages I sent were stolen. I also sent a package over a week ago to an influencer I was working with and it’s been delayed for a week and I even spoke to the supervisor at the post office in the customers state and they have no idea where it is. I have to file a missing items report and send another package to the influencer.

In the CT lower Naugatuck Valley it is horrendous. Every 4th piece of mail goes to the wrong address. I get mail from all over my town weekly. I'm only getting about 65 to 70% of my mail. As far as packages go they are much, much worse. No it is not a seasonal thing. It's so bad I avoid buying from companies that use USPS.

USPS have a serious problem with picking up packages in black neighborhoods. My pick-up notice was ignored 3 days straight, with mail being left in the slot, but my pick-up sign on my mail slot ignored.

Do not judge til you've done this job yourself. People don't even know what goes on in a day for a carrier.

I have a business and I only have one client and my checks are mailed from Philadelphia PA to northwestern Pennsylvania takes 14 days to receive my check after postmarking here's a fact pony Express travel 1800 miles in a 10-day period to deliver mail and it's only about 320 miles to Philadelphia from here so this is really affecting the economy almost to the point where I would accuse them of doing it intentionally

Sounds like there is a problem. (Especially the carriers) are overburdened. If your getting mail at 8pm at night, at least the carrier is trying. I delivered till 9pm during one Christmas season. One kid thought I was 🎅🏽!

My mail is usually delivered early afternoon. last week, I ordered a package and the tracking showed that it was delivered at 6:45 pm on last Friday. The camera on my porch showed no delivery. I waited for my mail lady yesterday (I had to stay home for that), and she said she was not on duty that day, but would contact her supervisor. Her supervisor called me and left a message that tracking showed that my package was delivered, she's sorry, but contact the sender to send another package or give me a refund. My camera shows that it was not delivered, so how can I put the financial responsibility on the sender when the sender paid the post office to have it delivered to me.

It is nation wide. I been seeing complaints recently on ebay forums and consumer review websites. I don't receive any of my mail to San Diego, CA. It sucks not being able to get things done because replacement driver license doesn't show up.
