I enjoyed flying the F7Fs, especially when it was at 6.0 in RB, the better engines of the F7F-3 when you get downtiered when it was at 6.0 meant that outside of bombers and Do-335's, you will be the highest-flying fighter if you were to climb at ideal rate. I still occasionally take out my F7F-3 for a few matches when I get annoyed at the top tier shenanigans.

For anyone that is wondering, the 20mm cannons for both variants are under the nose, the 12.7mm heavy machine guns are on the wing roots, also this wasnt touched on but was shown in the video, that all 3 bombs (at least for the F7F-3) drops independently, meaning that in one run, you can bomb 3 targets

Wait, this thing saw combat and WON against the legendary Po-2?! Those things are beasts, how'd they ever take it down?!

If you like this plane then you will also like the Ta-154. It has a lot of the same strengths and weaknesses. Heavy firepower and good speed but it also has a lower BR so it gets better match making.

Thanks for making this review! The F7F is a plane I wanted to grind forever, and after spading it I concluded it’s my favorite prop plane to fly for the US and arguably my favorite plane in general, great to see it get more recognition!

This thing is an absolute ripper in GRB. The 20s make mincemeat (top down that is) of anything that isn't a heavy tank. I don't even usually bring bombs or rockets because they're so good. The F7F-1, F7F-3 and AM-1 as CAS, T34, T30, and M26E1 as tanks is a killer combo that makes heaps of money.

I was lucky enough to grab an F7F-3 in a Twitch drop chest. Very fun toy.

This and the Spit Mk24 are some of my dumb guilty pleasures.

it looks like the wing rockets fire through the propellers... a very human design.

The premium version is exceptionally good in naval RB. It can actually climb high enough to take out bombers and it's very rare that anyone actually brings a proper fighter to deal with it. Great secondaries and a ridiculously good burst mass.

It's quite funny that this thing can get matched up against radar SPAA in Ground RB.

I hate that the production F7F is the premium version
essentially limiting the F7F-1 to backseat status, and if you want a tigercat that can ground strike better and has better engines (the naval mine is better than the US 2000 lbs bomb, pound for pound) you're screwed.
Just of the many times gajibbles has done this because reasons

Like the Tigercat, but I have to admit that when it comes to the twin-engined superprops, I prefer the Britsh Hornet. It's not quite as well-armed, but does perform a notch better.
And... though that is personal preference... I like the looks more.
