Joe Sample is not simply music, it's an art form beyond of what the human mind can fully understand. You could only comprehend his stunning & blessed music with your heart, because that way he could communicate with you in a much deeper, broader and profound way. This man's passing was one of the greatest losses in the history of American and world music for that matter!

He, (Joe Sample), used to come In to the dry cleaners where I worked in Mammoth lakes back in 1988'. To pick up his dry cleaning. I met Joe there after one of hs concerts. He had a home there in town.glad to have had the chance to get to meet him. He seemed very nice.

I just lost my closest brother and had the funeral today. I didn't cry much but I was suffering so much inside. Joe's music is coming through for me now.
