In Gatwick and Bristol Airports in England customs agents check baggage and travellers to uphold allowances and prevent illicit activity and substances from entering the UK.

I am a retired ICU/ER nurse. We used to get prisoners claiming to have swallowed balloons. They would get admitted to ICU in case one broke. I’ve seen it happen twice. Both persons almost immediately started seizing then progressed to full cardiac arrest. There’s no way to remove the product from their system. Both died from it. The risk isn’t worth the money.

It’s pathetic these poor drug mules are probably so poor and get years for smuggling while the real culprits aren’t caught. Also anyone using any white powder drugs needs to stop and just take a few minutes thinking how those drugs ended up in your hands. They might have been in someone’s entire digestive system.

Tbh I feel bad for these people smuggling drugs inside their bodies, they must be absolutely desperate for money, and are being used by drug cartels.

Impressive confiscations. But one should recall at best they only find 10% of all the drugs coming into the country from all ports of entry legal and not.

I remember watching an episode of this show that was epic. The guy was caught with a bunch of heroin. When offered a phone call, he said he didn’t have anyone he wanted to call. “I don’t want my girlfriend or mother to know about this.” The customs agent replied: “By the time you get out of prison, your girlfriend will be a grandmother.”

Does a "rub down" mean something different in the UK? Here in North America when you want to search somebody it's called a "pat down".
