Had uni as a child and my first experience.... well, I admit I didn't love it. But as I continued eating it as I grew up, I learned to tell apart between fresh and old uni and actually started appreciating its flavor.

And fresh uni is just oh so mindblowingly delicious 🤤

Had uni once at some hole in the wall sushi spot few years back, I wanted to vomit it was rancid…few years later I try it again at an omakase…it was night and day the texture and taste and flavor the creamy butteryness I can say what I had a few years back is definitely not the same as I have these days. 😊
