TALLINN, Estonia 🇪🇪 - 4K HDR

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia located on the northern coast, on the Gulf of Finland. Tallinn's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which we visited very early on this channel in January 2019 the last time. Tallinn has a population of about 437,000 people and was first mentioned in 1154.

On this walk we see much of the old town, get uphill to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, built in 1900, and enjoy the view from various viewpoints.

The city is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture yet after the old town we also get to check out newer town parts and the lively Rottermann district. We even get to see the harbour, where ferries go to nearby Baltic destinations like Helsinki.

At last we return to out starting point, completing this summer tour of Tallinn.

Tallinn is one of my favorite capitals to visit, so peaceful but still a lot to do and see. I really enjoyed this walk while enjoying my dinner in peace and quiet😊

Oh! 7 minute whirlwind intro to the real video.... aaahhhh.... MUCH better now that I have gotten past the intro. At @30:17 view of the IBM Eesti building... the light colored one with dark tinted windows. At @58:52 Tere, tere! 😉 At @59:39 Google Street View from 2014 shows that as "Fish Art - Suveniirid" and now it is "Beer and Barrel". Times change in 10 years. At @1:02:24 BK is new since I have been to Viru gate. eeewww.... Sorry to see that. At @1:06:32 now Trams will turn North towards the ferry ports?! Ma ei tea.... At @1:29:23 is the tram line not allowed to operate out to Kopli again?
