All New 2023 Lexus RZ 450e Pure Electric Compact SUV

Lexus has entered the electric vehicle market with the RZ450e, which shares a platform with the Toyota bZ4X and the Subaru Solterra. This being a Lexus, it has a much more upscale interior to match its more upscale exterior styling.

The Lexus is 4,805mm long, 1,895mm wide, and 1,635mm tall, with a 2,850mm wheelbase.

The Lexus RZ takes shape with signature Lexus design elements and cues. The RZ leads with a dramatic front end that exudes attitude while maintaining calm stability at the rear, wrapped in a dynamic and purposeful shape. Six exterior and three interior colours are available, in addition to standard touches like the spindle grill accenting the hood and roof. As an option, you can also select bi-tone paint colour options, extending your SUV's look by adding a new spotlight colour on the hood and roof.

The RZ is intended to provide enjoyment and excitement. Inside, the driver and passenger sit comfortably in the front doors, which open wide. The cabin's design is more minimalist, with most controls operated via a large 14.0-inch touchscreen multi-function display. The screen is mounted high and wide on the centre console, providing a panoramic view of the interior. The Lexus RZ hauls upmarket in style, thanks to its spacious cabin and bold design.

A steer-by-wire system is standard, and Lexus has confirmed that a yoke-style steering wheel will be available as an option, in addition to the standard circular wheel.

The RZ 450e is equipped with a new 'Direct4' four-wheel-drive powertrain that consists of two compact electric motors, one with 203hp at the front and one with 108hp at the rear, for a total output of 312hp and 435Nm of torque. The RZ 450e will accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 5.6 seconds and top out at a limited 159kph.

The battery-powered 2023 RZ 450e starts at $59,650 for the base Premium trim, and $65,150 for the more expensive Luxury trim.
