Making Surgical Masks for Kids (Legally) in the United States - Armbrust American

SIGN THE PETITION:

I have five kids, and like most parents, believe that they deserve the best protection money can buy.

We now know that cloth masks don't protect us against against COVID-19, but the FDA has yet to register a child-sized surgical mask.

The reason is surprisingly simple: NIOSH (CDC), OSHA, and the FDA have never needed to approve child-sized masks before.

I’m going to really date myself here, but aside from Doogie Howser, M.D., there were not a lot kid surgeons needing these types of masks before the COVID-19.

But things have changed, and even the CDC has recommended that children over the age of 2 wear a mask… kind of ironic though since their recommendation didn’t come with any medical options for parents to provide real protection for their children.

So, I need your help. I need you to fill out this petition to let the government know that parents want medical protection for their kids.

If you’re reading this message, you know that Armbrust American can make the masks: it’s what we do. And we’ve even come with with several prototypes that will allow us to sell these masks almost as soon as the government approves them.

Sure, we could cut corners. We could sell our children’s masks as “non-medical” with a *wink* and *nudge* letting you know that they share same level protection as our surgical masks. But at Armbrust, we believe in the approval process--and personally, I think that FDA registration is what separates quality American-made products from the majority of PPE you’ll find overseas.

We trust the process, but I need your help to move that process forward.

Will you please help me share this message with the world? My five children (and all of yours) deserve the same medical protection as our doctors and nurses on the front lines.

My niece is a maternity nurse and she is small! She needs to wear kids masks, which are hard to find. So not only would they help kids, but they would help adults too.
