Geometry 5.5b, Triangle Inequality Theorem

preview_player
Показать описание
An explanation of the Triangle Inequality Theorem and why there is a certain relationship that exists among the length of three segments in order for them to form a triangle. We take 3 lengths and use the Triangle Inequality Theorem to determine if they could be the sides of a triangle. We use a variable to find the range of possible lengths for a third side, then we graph the compound inequality. We put five steel tubes of a bike frame in order from shortest to longest using the angle measures to determine length. We use the Triangle Inequality Theorem and the Subtraction Property of Inequalities to find the distance from Mason, Texas to Austin, Texas.
