Making the DCEU a Complete Cinematic Universe With the Structure of the MCU

A few years ago I had the idea to take a look at the DCEU and see how it could’ve fit into the structure of the Infinity Saga which is certainly the gold standard for a cinematic universe, that video was really successful and prompted me to start an entire series of Universe Restructuring videos, as of this video the DCEU has officially ended and all these years later, things have changed, the DCEU has expanded so let’s take it full circle.

I just read a subreddit thread reminding me that one of the reasons why DC (and Fantastic Four) kept falling wasn't just executive meddling but because they didn't have their own independent studio yet like Marvel did. And now they do and I'm excited for the DCU.

It's incredible how similar but yet distinct this plan feels from the MCU. like the warworld, apokalips stuff are ideas from comics but are ideas that were utalised in the MCU

I hope the new DCU actually has a structure. So far, the projects announced seem random and unconnected, which is what the DCEU did. It doesn't have to follow the MCU outline, but we need some kind of climax that feels earned.

Dude, this was an excellent outline and idea. Hindsight is 20/20 of course but I truly believe that these ideas could have been conceived with competent leadership at DC.

You changed the whole point of Blue Beetle. The whole message of the movie is that his family makes him strong and since his family helps out a lot that's what makes the movie less generic.

12:15 the post-credits scene for your 2nd Superman movie made me gasp as if I was actually watching it in a theater. Well done!

I would add just one more movie, simply because you mentioned the part about someone rising to the role of Batman after his death. It would be a story of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake trying to figure out which among them should be the new Batman, but they end up taking a page out of the Gotham Knights game where in the end, they realize they don't need to be Batman, the Bat family is the replacement as they reach "Knighthood". The movie would be called "The Robins" and I'd put it after Shazam Wrath of Black Adam, making this universe bookended with Batman movies, while still leaving room for more stories to be told

I just want a WWII movie with the JSA. I need that classic Jay Garrick on screen. The spot light is always on Barry and sometimes Wally in these movies and shows. Never on a classic Garrick, and since he's one of the slower Flash's, he could easily fit in a team up movie.

I’m only 8 minutes into this and I already wish we were living in a world with a DCEU like this especially when this would have Grant as Flash (edit: though I do wish he had a trilogy) and a more hopeful and inspiring Superman
