me and my college roommates found a really great One Direction vampire kidnapped fic from like 2014 and we started a whole book club that would meet at like 1 am somewhere on campus and we'd read it aloud. We ended up with like 8 members with a couple exhausted med students, a really nice football player guy, and others all unironically invested in the fate of y/n.
I think at one point the author took the story down, but a couple of us found her on instagram and begged her to put it back up so she did. we've all graduated or dropped out but she's in college now and we're all so proud :))))

In those "X reader" stories I never imagined my actual name. I'd always think and say "your name", "male name", "brothers name".

To the point where Y/N is a fully fledged character who acts nothing like me 💀 she has 120, 000 boyfriends, 70, 000 girlfriends, 200, 000 people who adore her for no reason, and 50, 000 people who hate her for good reason

i remember writing stories on wattpad as a 6th/7th grader and it wasn’t until i was in college that i logged back into wattpad and saw that one of my stories got to 400k reads and the idea of people reading my teen angst terrified me so much i immediately deleted my account 😭

wattpad was the first website that i got even a bit of notoriety on. one of my fanfics got so famous that someone actually cited it for paper they wrote for college on fandom culture, somehow

PLEASE i tried to read Y.O.L.O once back when it used to be a free story but i couldn't keep going because it was too stupid. and now it's been upgraded to a paid story AND was advertised on the front page of wattpad?? i am in shambles

Wish I could hate on Wattpad but my Hermione/Tom Riddle story on there has nearly a half million reads and is undeniably the only accomplishment of my life.
