Chemical safety data sheet says it is 100% naphtha. Cheaper to buy it at the hardware store.

This product is 100% Light Hydrotreated Naphtha which can be bought in 4.5 oz spray cans for half the Amazon price. Since the Amazon offering has such a bad shipment record you should consider this instead.

I wonder: usually you can't soak something from the other side. Let's say you are removing a glued-on sticker from a cardboard box, and you have to soak the sticker itself - wouldn't that separate the sticker from its layer of glue, and leave the glue on the box?

I believe the term duct tape came from it being used to tape HVAC ducting together and seal the joints.

Naphtha (Petroleum), Hydrotreated Light. This is a mixture of various hydrocarbons having 6 or fewer carbons. Things like hexane, pentane, butane, probably some cyclic, probably some with double bonds. Flammable for sure. Some components could be carcinogenic so don't get it on your skin or breathe it in. But what I wonder, is the residue still on a glass jar?
