A BI analyst has the skillset of a Data Analyst. Before you can present your insights in the form of real-time story-telling dashboards, you must have carried out the hard work of data analysis. By 'hard work' I mean Getting, Preparing, Modelling, and Analysing the data. So in other words, a BI Analyst is a Data Analyst by default!

I am currently training to become a BI analyst at Tripleten, and I have come to understand that in their work, an analyst can take on the role of a DA when they are seeking answers to questions, as well as a BI when they are generating regular reports. Do you think this happens in most cases, or is such a clear distinction of roles only present in large companies?
