The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...

This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.

Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Just uploaded a newspaper story that said maybe they thought he was a girl because he was buried in a dress (died 18 months what they had at time) per his sister.

One of the guys taking care of grave thought it was a girl, so he created the "Sister headstone for him (again thinking it was a girl).

Also, the reason he is all alone is because the lady across the street from it got an injunction to move the cemetery away. So he is the 1st and last buriel there. His family legally were not allowed to be with him. The lady doomed him to be alone, cut off from those who loved him.

The numbers (347...) are the highway mile markers. He & his grave are still helping travelers

What you do for the memory of the tiniest and forgotten is truly heartwarming. Heartbreaking too, but thank you for all you do.

What a sad story about this little boy. I love how someone took a lot of care to make his grave so beautiful. I'm glad that his family is with him now. I'm sure they were so heartbroken. This reminds me of the little boy who is buried by the train tracks, another story you told. It also makes me wonder how many others are buried along these roads with graves unmarked, probably a whole lot more. RIP little guy ❤💐

My mother was born in 1923. She had tuberculosis and diphtheria at the same time. I guess she survived for me and my brother. I'm 72 and he's 77. Thank you, momma.

Hearing the train all the way to the end of the recording was so nice.

So sad all the hardships everyone endured just trying to survive and make ends meet. God bless their souls. It is comforting to know they reunited in Heaven.

Finding out the grave was a milestone and beacon for travelers is heartwarming. Thank you Ron, for another beautiful tribute to FOTF. We will remember him. ❤

My heart goes out to Lorell and his poor family. He died the year my father was born and in those days life was precarious and hard for the average family. But they persevered and worked hard to survive. These days we have more loafers and freeloaders than ever. People are largely dependent and lazy. Thanks for telling the Trotter family story Ron.

Seeing that train moving, brought back memories as a little 3 year old Native girl, along with my many brothers, sisters and cousins. Our grandmother house was along the tracks of the rail ways and when we heard the Iron Horse and its many Iron Foals, we would yell, dance and wave for the Rider (Conductor), to blow it horn or Yell back. It was fun,
